Gabor Vision Training
Based on Deveau et al. (2014) Current Biology study
Required Setup:
- Sit exactly 57 cm (arm's length) from your screen
This distance is crucial for correct spatial frequency presentation
- Ensure you're in a dimly lit room
Reduces screen glare and improves contrast sensitivity
- Position your screen at eye level
Maintains proper viewing angle and distance
- Keep your head position stable
Use a chin rest if available
- Each session is 25 minutes
Complete one session per day for 30 days
Task Instructions:
- A Gabor pattern will appear either in the center or periphery
- Remember its orientation
- Drag left or right anywhere on screen to adjust orientation
- Press Enter or click Confirm when the orientations match
- Maintain focus on the central fixation cross (+)
- Use arrow keys for fine adjustments if needed
